You don't have to understand my reasons for being vegan..or even how these jokes make me feel...but as quasi-new friends, I think it should be enough that I ask for some respect around this issue....and that I get it. I'm not trying to shove my belief systems onto you, so stop pushing the glorification of eating flesh on me. Yes, even as a joke.

Skippy and Mella, I know you didn't mean any harm...I know that you wouldn't have written something if you knew it would be hurtful to me. But, I get it alllll the time. People thinking bloody steaks should seem funny to me....when it just makes me nauseous and sad. Like I said, I hope you can respect my veganism....you don't need to understand it.

And ya know, I'm not saying I don't want friends who eat meat. I just don't want my deeply held beliefs joked about....just like anyone else I think. I hope. (Not talking about you Pi; I assumed you'd read the other thread:) . It's a hard one...I usually just try to ignore the topic when I can. And I mean, of course, if you want to bring meat to the picnic, bring meat. I was just requesting no meat. But I'm just a moderator, not your master. I could be your master though, if you ask me really nicely:)
If you have questions similar to Wizards', please ask me privately. I'm more than willing to talk about it, just not in the tribe.
