Mon, August 8, 2005 - 2:23 PMI was out at Red, White and Blue beach this past weekend, for a party.
It was about 80 degrees and hot/sunny in Santa Cruz city limits proper, but then once you got out to Red white & blue (6 miles north) it was freezing, foggy, and miserable.
Summer here in Northern California, by the beach, sucks.
I'll have to start going to harbin again, for my au naturale sunbathing. Sigh. -

Mon, August 8, 2005 - 10:46 PMI am just jonezin for a coast trip; again I was at the American River on Sunday, mainly because my band had a gig the night before and I slept too late to go to the Yuba. But it was hella hot, and the water was much colder than usual this time of year ... total shock treatment.
If you like Harbin, I'd really recommend checking out the South Fork of the Yuba by Nevada City ... it's probably a four hour drive for you, but it really is beautiful and very swimmable this time of year. The people are very kick back, and a lot of BRC types go there. I'm probably heading there in two weeks, if I don't try to go to Hat Day at Lake Tahoe.
