We finally have some nice weather, but not a peep in here. Does anyone check in anymore?

Ha! I was just thinking earlier today that this place needed some activity given that beach weather is here. You must have been eavesdropping. :)

My weekend activities are a bit up in the air over the next few weeks, but as I feel the need to feel the sun, I'll be checking or posting here...

    Anybody else?

Actually, yes ... when the weather started getting better. What's funny is that I did not check the local paper to see how it was in the Bay area this weekend and when I saw it was 86 in the city on Sunday I was pissed that I missed it.

Now watch what happens; I'll take a shot at the coast this weekend and hit the permanent fog bank the whole day.

    Damn!

I still scan this tribe as well. If someone wants to call a gathering, that'd be great.

Last Sunday at Baker was very nice. Perfect weather, not too crowded.

I would've thought last Sunday was packed at Baker. I'm sure it was beautiful.

Calling a tribe day sounds like a good idea. Is Baker the natural choice, or perhaps someowhere in Marin, as it seems a number of the tribe are from up there?

Baker was well-attended, for sure, but wasn't wall-to-wall. Everyone had space.

I think Baker (or Grey Whale) are prolly most centralized for the most people. But one of the perqs of being the organizer is determining the locale, and if something else works best for you....

Welp, I'm thinking about the second weekend in June as I'm out of town for Memorial Day. As it gets closer, I'll post more and see if we can make this happen. AFAIK, Grey Whale Cove is unaccessible until perhaps July, so Baker would be another choice. I've been going there a few times during the week this Spring, and it's a lot better than not having anywhere. If we're hanging out and having fun, that all should be a great day.

I checked my calendar and the second weekend in June sounds good to me. Are you thinking Saturday or Sunday?

I think I may have to drive to the coast more often after the end of July, since the word is that the rangers are closing my nearest river beach in Auburn; seems that they're starting commercial rafting on that stretch of the American River and need to shield the paying customers from seeing folks sunning their bits on the rocks and beaches.

                Drat!

Maybe Sunday? Anyone else have a preference for Saturday or Sunday?

Well, I have my kids that weekend, and my more liberal tendencies haven't rubbed off on them... they wouldn't much enjoy a nude beach. So I'll have to schedule another time...

I only pop in when there's new posts......

I just got back from a vacation, tiny island in the Caribbean with mile-long empty beaches, clear water, warm white sand..... and NO ONE around, so we just made our own nude beach most of the time....although unfortunately I have tan lines because we went snorkeling at a vaguely popular spot that was NOT clothing optional. Grumble.

Hopefully warmer weather will come soon- I require HOT beach weather before I bother going...none of this mostly-foggy b.s.!
