I was stuck with relatives ... nice to see 'em, but it was really nice out and I wished I was out by some water.

Howabout you guys? Anyone?

What a gorgeous weekend. I was naked nearly the whole weekend. San Gregorio was where I ended up going and it was packed.
My apologies to the people who responded to my post about going to the beach this weekend. I was away from my computer. I need to plan ahead more.
Speakin g of which, if the fog stays away this may be another great weekend coming up.
Who has plans? I'd like to go down to RWB but I expect it will be too crowded to camp. Might have to be a daytrip only.

If you're right Joe and the fog stays away, I'll be heading for either Red Rocks or Baker's. Not sure what day yet, but stay tuned.

I would like to check out Grey Whale at some point; I sort of know where it is, but if was coming from I-80, how would I get there and roughly how long is the drive from the city?

San Gregorio was packed? I haven't beeen there yet, but I heard it was a very long beach. I'm trying to coordinate a photo shoot there. Are weekdays usually pretty sparse?

Well, "packed" is a subjective term. For San Gregorio it means about a hundred or so people within a stone's throw of the trail. I walked down to the end of the beach and there were probably only 6 or 7 seven scattered through the northernmost half-mile

I went to the textile beach in Santa Cruz on Sunday. Both good and bad. The good is that there was more room to spread out and you don't have to climb any cliffs to get there. Bad is that I forgot sunblock and got 1st and 2nd degree burns. Good is that I was wearing shorts so I didn't burn "everywhere". Bad is that I've got major tan lines (the whole reason I like nude beaches). Good or bad is that I was lying on my side (spooning with my lady friend) so half my body is fried and the other half is pale! Good is also that I was given some hydrocodone to help with the sunburn pain!
